The Killbuck Valley Landowners’ Association (KVLA) will hold a membership meeting on
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2011 BEGINNING AT 6:00 P.M.
in the gymnasium of the
KILLBUCK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
(note change of location for this meeting)
The members of the Board of Trustees will be there to answer questions about the group which is made up of southern Holmes County and northern Coshocton County landowners. Dave Hall, State Representative and Chairman of the Agricultural and Natural Resources Committee – will be our featured speaker. Dave will bring us up to date on the latest developments for the shale drilling in Ohio. Members and guests are welcome. After interviewing numerous law firms to represent our group, we are pleased to report that the Board has chosen Critchfield, Critchfield and Johnston, of Millersburg, and they will have representatives from their firm at the meeting to give us more information about their services.
As the leasing continues to head in our direction, it is imperative that we are organized and prepared to negotiate with the oil companies. We urge you to attend this meeting to stay
updated on our group’s activity.
Our digital maps of members’ parcels will also be on display at the meeting. This will enable members to see where we need to get more participation in order to better enable our group to have more bargaining power.

November 13, 2011 – We are planning a membership meeting next month with State Representative Dave Hall as our speaker. Dave is the Chairman of the Agricultural and Natural Resources Committee for Ohio and will give us an update on the latest developments. As soon as we have a date confirmed, we will be notifying members of the meeting. It will also be posted on this website .

Doug Core, Geologist and President of National Minerals Corp in Newark, will discuss the Utica Shale prospect and the horizontal drilling technology that is recovering the oil and gas it contains.
